    Description

Used during the replacement of damaged, broken or missing damper springs in most full size upright pianos. (If you're repairing a spinet or console with a compact action chances are you need the thinner diameter damper cord, also in my eBay store).  About .100" in diameter, 36" long.
To prepare this cord for use, slide the outer sheath back about 2", cut off the 2" of the core now exposed then pull the outer sheath back out - it will be "hollow" inside for that 2" portion now.  Work a small amount of glue into that portion, stretch and twist it as thin as you can get it and let the glue dry - this gives you a "needle" to help thread the cord through the flange and spring.  Use a glue that dries hard and fast - something like carpenters wood glue works very well.
I've been a full time piano technician for 30+ years and am glad to help answer questions before or after the sale.  My contact info is included in each shipment and you can also reach me through eBay.
