1 Baldwin Grand Piano Eccentric Leg Lock, Holds Leg in Leg Plate, Quick Release

Description

One stamped steel eccentric leg lock used in conjunction with a leg plate for mounting legs to grand/baby grand piano cabinet.  Leg plates hold leg to case, this leg lock is the Baldwin factory way to prevent movement of the leg and lock it into place.  Good for replacement of damaged or missing original eccentric locks on a Baldwin grand or retrofitting to another make or a shell. Distance from surface that contacts the leg to the center of mounting hole varies between 2 5/8" to 3" (to allow it to tighten into place when rotated).
Photo 5 shows the eccentric in the locked position.  Photos 6 & 7 show me using a mallet handle to knock it into the locked position and photo 8 shows me using a mallet handle to unlock it.  This is a very handy way to secure legs that are secured to the piano with wedge style leg plates as the same tool (mallet, soft end though) is used to knock legs on and off the cabinet.  We retrofit many of our grand shells (available in our eBay store) with these locks as it makes it much simpler to remove legs than when outfitted with screws (which require a screwdriver to remove and often strip out with repeated use).
