Description
This listing is for a linen postcard showing the Art Deco style building of the Minneapolis Star and Tribune Plant in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The building was built in 1919 but was extensively renovated and remodeled in 1940 to look like the building in the postcard. It was demolished in 2015 Publisher was Curt Teich (#0C-H749). This number dates the card to 1950. Interesting note: the six limestone medallions (see them on the postcard) depicting major industries were salvaged from the building’s facade and incorporated into Wells Fargo’s new downtown Minneapolis office buildings. It is in excellent condition with no tears or creases and very little corner or edge wear.
