Description
2 old postcards showing the same palatial home in St. Paul Minnesota located at 7 Heather Place in the neighborhood of Ramsey Hill. The hand-colored card has wear to the edges and corners and has a very small area where the paper has been lifted (near the bottom edge on the right side). That card was posted, but I do not know the year. The other card is unposted.
The "Goodkind residence" was built in 1910. According to information I found on the web when it was for sale in 2019:
"The B.L. Goodkind House was designed by architects Reed & Stem in a Tudor Revival and Cotswold Cottage style and built for Benjamin Goodkind in 1910. The unusual thing is that the 10,000 square foot house is attached to the neighbouring home at 5 Heather Place by a now blocked off second-storey corridor. Benjamin Goodkind’s brother, William, resided in the neighbouring home and the unique corridor remains a prominent and charming feature. The two homes still share a circular driveway and central courtyard!"
Please ask any questions before you bid; we want you to be delighted with your purchase. The best way to ensure that is for you to know exactly what you are bidding on before you bid.
**We are in the process of listing many postcards for auction. The postcards came from a variety of sources. The lots we have listed likely contain postcards from multiple sources. The lots likely also contain a variety of different types and ages of postcards, so it is important that you check all of the photos in the listings to avoid missing one in the category you seek.
**We are not postcard experts. Please carefully examine all photos and ask any questions that you have.
**We do combine shipping. If you are bidding on more than one of our auctions, please let us know so we can send you an invoice with the correct shipping charge once all of the auctions you are bidding on have concluded.
**We do not inflate shipping charges; it is just expensive to ship these days. We ship in the most economical way possible while still packing your postcard(s) so that they arrive to you safely and undamaged.
