This beautiful satin black piano bench features spade legs, and measures 14" (W) x 30" (L) x 19" (H). The wooden top has a beveled edge design--giving it a much more stylish appearance than the a standard square edged wood top.
The piano bench itself is constructed of selected hardwood, and features brass plated hinges and lid supports. The hinge mechanism is also sturdier and higher quality than most piano benches in a similar price range, with a superior design not based on small divot interlocking. The bottom of the piano legs have felt pads on them, to protect your floor from scratching.
The bench features an especially large music storage compartment, at 2.5" deep, which is also finished (instead of simply having a piece of unfinished plywood). Unlike most imported piano benches, this piano bench's music compartment is routed in (meaning that it is inserted into a groove in the wooden frame), instead of stapled like you will find on most imported piano benches. This adds to the benches structural stability, and prolongs the life of the bench. Plus you can you safely store a good amount of sheet music in the compartment, without having to worry about the bottom falling out over time--which it will if it's stapled in, as they slowly work themselves loose.
