Motor Conversion Kit for Coolaroo Shade Screen. Condition is "New". Shipped with UPS Ground.
This conversion kit is used to modify Coolaroo wand style shade screens so that they can be controlled automatically by the Autoshade Controller which is listed as Ebay #143900343342. Up to 6 motorized kits can be connected to a single Controller which is programmed to raise and lower the shades based on time offsets from sunrise or sunset. There is also a manual mode that initiates the sequence with a single button push. There is also a remote control terminal that permits connection to other home control systems.
The motor used is a two phase stepping motor where each of the windings is pulsed by a constant current drive. The Controller provides this drive and keeps track of the number of pulses so no position sensor is needed. You must use an Autoshade Contoller with these motors.
Some disassembly of the Coolaroo shades is required to install the motor. Each motor connects to the Controller with a low voltage 4 conductor cable.
