Many magnificent works of art were painted by the talented artists Stepan and Yelena Goryachy. Their works are now included in catalogues and displayed in a number of museums and virtual exhibitions. To paint their ethereal, surrealistic dolls and eggs the artists used different styles and techniques. Fantasies and obscure dreams of the authors elegantly spread over matryoshka doll silhouettes. In expressive dialogues between unmistakably unique brushstrokes and pastel colors the authors convey the spiritual stories of motherhood, love, youth, adolescence. Introspective, soul searching personages of Goryachy dolls appear to be all snapshots of our common dreams and reflections, or deconstructed pieces of our fantasies. Elegant Ladies and Girls dressed in colorful attire and feather-light parasols streaming in the wind along with semi-transparent balloons remind us of things all too distant, yet dearly own. An astounding array of images like a white marble palace, a bridge where stands a lonely woman figure, interior of a room with a fireplace inside, a cobblestone pavement, stone walls, multicolored geometrical figures, flowers, a street lamp all of a sudden become of something meaningful, readily accessible, and emotionally charged for any admirer of their art. Undoubtedly, this artistic couple has been able to create several of exceptional dolls – all in all a gallery of fine art paintings on matryoshka – notable for their unique style, interesting themes and a departure from traditional cannons, yet within traditionally skillful and tasteful style
