  • Condition: Condition is consistent with use and age (over 100 years old). Some flecks of paint are missing around the bottom, but the rest of paint is great! There are no chips, but there is a very fine 2-3" hairline inside that can be seen in the last photograph (inside on the right). Please see all the photographs for exact condition.

    POPE-GOSSER'S CLARUS WARE ANTIQUE CERAMIC TANKARD c.1903-1907
    Fabulous Antique Clarus Ware ceramic tankard by famed china maker, Pope-Gosser, features a finely detailed, colorful hand-painted, what I would call a "troubadour". It measures almost 5" high with a diameter of about 4.25", and was manufactured in Ohio during the Edwardian period. This is a rare find. What an incredible addition to your collection!
    The item is in used condition that is consistent with age. There are paint flecks missing around the base and some wear to the gold rim, as would be expected. There is a very fine hairline crack that runs about 3" long from top of rim and can be seen in the last photograph, but you can see that it is barely visible and you cannot see it from the outside. However the rest of the piece, including handle has no chips or other damage noted. Please see all the pictures for exact condition.
