    Description

    For your consideration is a set of six (6) soup bowls with under plates from the Pope Gosser China Company, a USA company.  The pattern is identified by Replacements, Ltd. as POP55 and described as, "Green scrolls & bells, yellow roses, gold trim".  The set is unique to the pattern as the soup bowls have a double handle design as opposed to a single handle like you would find on a tea cup.
    The non-boxed weight of these 6 bowls and plates is 4 pounds,14 ounces.
    The back stamp is an early mark, "POPE GOSSER CHINA", dating it to the 1920's.
    This is a very elegant set and one you can be proud to use or display.
    The condition is excellent used.
    There are no chips, cracks or repairs.
    The gold highlights show very slight to no wear.
    The plates measure 6-1/2" in diameter
    The soups measure 6-1/4" handle to handle, and 4-5/8" rim to rim.
