Description
Pictured here is a Haji, Japan tin litho friction dog for parts or repair. Haji was a small Tokyo toy maker founded in 1951, but not known to produce any more tin toys after the 1960's. The friction mechanism seems to work, if a little sluggish and the paint is excellent. His ears and tail are missing and apparently he also had a tongue that moved. There is a good maker's mark on his rear. Please refer to the photos for the best look and determination of condition. He measures 4 ¼” end to end.
